For Senior Health and Fitness Day this year, the Office of Connected Care promoted five VA virtual care resources that can guide older Veterans on a path to better health, wellness, and community connections:
- Gerofit exercise program
- MOVE! Coach app
- The My HealtheVet Community articles
- Live Whole Health app
- Annie for Veterans text messages for fall prevention and increased physical activity
According to Dr. Katherine Hall, VA National Gerofit Program Director, “At VA, we do what we can to keep Veterans healthy, socially engaged, and active and independent as long as we can. We like to build relationships and see the longevity of Veterans who participate in our programs.”
Senior health and fitness are important all 365 days of the year.
