On May 7, Connected Care and the American Counseling Association teamed up to host a Facebook Live event about Annie, VA's automated text messaging program. Thousands of Veterans now use Annie to achieve their health and wellness goals – from improving mental health to tracking blood pressure and glucose.

Many thanks to all who contributed to this event, especially our featured presenters. Lisa Henderson, American Counseling Association's Synchronous Health Co-Founder and COO, moderated the live discussion with Dr. Jennifer Roth, Clinical Psychologist, Outpatient Mental Health/TMED Montevideo CBOC, St. Cloud VA Health Care System, and Boyd Loehr, Primary Care Registered Nurse, VA San Diego Healthcare System.

As Dr. Roth explains early on in the event, "Right now there are a lot of people isolated at home, and I think it's important to know that Annie and other apps don't replace providers, but it's rather a way to meet patients where they are at any given time."
