Virtual care can help Veterans access VA health care outside of traditional, in-person appointments and empower them to take control of their health. However, not all Veterans have the resources to engage with virtual care. Connected Care recently published an informational video that explains Veterans’ options for accessing virtual care when they don’t have consistent access to the internet or an internet-connected device.
Titled, “Expanding Access to Virtual Care for Veterans,” this new 4-minute video gives an overview of VA’s Digital Divide Consult process and the key programs available to help Veterans receive the care they need, including the Connected Devices Program, mobile carrier discounts, and ATLAS (Accessing Telehealth through Local Area Stations). It also shares how Virtual Health Resource Centers are available to help Veterans who are interested in these programs but are unsure about their comfort level with VA virtual care tools.
Watch the video and visit the Bridging the Digital Divide page on the VA Telehealth Services website.
