VA has been a leader in using telehealth technology to deliver care to Veterans for more than a decade. Last year alone, 12 percent of VA patients received some portion of their care through telehealth. With the recent Anywhere-to-Anywhere Health Care Initiative and the new VA Video Connect appointment app, VA's telehealth efforts are expanding even further. Federal News Radio interviewed Connected Care Chief Officer Dr. Neil Evans recently to discuss this expansion. "We're able to use technology to bring care closer to where Veterans are," explained Dr. Evans during the interview that aired July 24 on the Federal Drive with Tom Temin. Listen to the full interview as Dr. Evans describes the different types of telehealth services at VA and the ways in which those services are now being offered to Veterans in their own homes.
