Federal News Radio recently invited Connected Care Chief Officer Dr. Neil Evans to talk about the security of VA's connected health tools on its Cyber Chat with Sean Kelley show. The monthly podcast focuses on cyber topics and challenges impacting the federal community.

Dr. Evans discussed the security measures VA takes to protect Connected Care tools, including the My HealtheVet health portal, VA Telehealth Services and VA Mobile applications, like VA Video Connect.

"Priority one is making sure we provide access to health care. When technology lets us do that in a way that's better for patients, there is an imperative ... that we make sure we are building a system that is secure and that protects the data and information of the Veterans we care for."
