May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Among other activities, it’s a good time to explore ways to reduce stress and improve overall well-being. My HealtheVet recently published an article spotlighting VA’s Mindfulness Coach app as one way to get started.
Increasing mindfulness can help reduce stress, improve emotional balance, and help with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. The app provides a self-guided training program designed to help Veterans understand and adopt a simple mindfulness practice. Available for both Android and iOS download, Mindfulness Coach is free, private and easy to use.
