The Office of Connected Care and Blue Star Families recently hosted a Facebook Live event showcasing VA tools and technologies that are available to caregivers of Veterans.
The 30-minute event covered many topics, including the Caregiver Connect option when scheduling VA Video Connect appointments. During the scheduling process, Veterans can provide the names and email addresses for up to five guests to be invited to their video visit. Guests receive an email invitation with a unique link to take part in the Veteran’s appointment.
This event’s featured presenters were VA experts Dr. Leonie Heyworth, VA Telehealth Deputy Director for Clinical Services, and Leah Christensen, Clinical Program Coordinator, as well as event moderator, Vicky Perkins, Director of Impact Programs with Blue Star Families
