Annie Text Messages Guide Veterans to Their Free Flu Shot

Veterans nationwide can now subscribe to Annie text messages for information and guidance on getting a flu shot. Annie is a VA service that sends automated text messages to Veterans to help them stay focused on their self-care.

The new Influenza vaccine messages:

  • Remind Veterans of the importance of a flu shot to help protect themselves and family members from influenza infection
  • Share information on where Veterans can show their VA ID card to be vaccinated free of charge in their community pharmacies

Veterans who are already registered in the Annie system can Text SUB MYFLU to Annie (75338). Those who are not yet registered for Annie can find instructions in this My HealtheVet Spotlight article.
