The South Texas VA recently became the first health care system within VISN 17 to receive the Office of Connected Care’s Nationally Designated Telehealth Hub (NDTH) designation.
NDTHs enable sharing of health care resources through telehealth across VA medical facilities. With this designation, South Texas VA is positioned to improve access to TelePalliative care and TeleLong COVID care for Veterans nationwide, especially those in rural communities.
