Three members of the Office of Connected Care leadership team – Dr. Neil Evans, Chief Officer, Dr. Kevin Galpin, Telehealth Services Executive Director, and Theresa Hancock, My HealtheVet Director – have been inducted into the new FedHealthIT100 Hall of Fame. They are part of an inaugural class of individuals who have distinguished themselves time and time again as winners of the annual FedHealthIT100 Awards.
Each year, FedHealthIT recognizes 100 individuals from government and industry who have gone above and beyond to spark innovation, challenge conventional wisdom, drive positive outcomes, and give back to the larger community. Hall of Fame honorees are recognized as an exceptional group of repeat winners – a testament to the significant, long-standing impact they have had within the Federal Health IT community.
The Connected Care leadership team guides VA's efforts on telehealth and other digital health tools for Veterans. This includes VA Video Connect and My HealtheVet, VA's online patient portal where Veterans can request VA prescription refills, review their medical records, and connect directly with their health care provider by exchanging secure online messages.
Inductees will be recognized at this year's virtual FedHealthIT100 Awards event and featured in the upcoming Winter 2021 edition of FedHealthIT magazine.
