VA Secure Sign-in Changes Include Connected Care Technologies

VA announced recently announced plans to transition from four online sign-in account options (Login.gov, ID.me, My HealtheVet, and DS Logon) to two: Login.gov and ID.me. This change impacts all Connected Care technologies and services that require account sign-in.

Veterans and other beneficiaries will no longer be able to use My HealtheVet usernames and passwords after January 31, 2025, and DS Logon usernames and passwords will be discontinued as of September 30, 2025.

After these deadlines, Veterans who have not yet transitioned their sign-in will be able to access their data and resume managing their benefits and services online only after they have created their new Login.gov or ID.me account.

These steps are being taken to improve VA security standards, comply with federal policies, and ensure Veteran data and identity protection.

Veterans who are having difficulty with this transition should contact their My HealtheVet Coordinator or Veterans Health Resource Center (VHRC) representatives. These VA staff members can assist you in understanding how to select and set up the account option — either Login.gov or ID.me — that best suits your needs.
