The Office of Connected Care recently announced the availability of SMS text notifications for the My VA Images app.
With this update, Veterans can receive text alerts directly on their mobile phones. The text notifications:
- Remind Veterans when it’s time to submit a photo/video and provide a direct access link to My VA Images to do so.
- Alert Veterans when their VA provider has reviewed their submission.
- Let Veterans know when their VA provider’s comments are available to read in My VA Images.
“With instant text alerts, Veterans no longer need to search through their email,” said Sara DeRycke, National Lead for Asynchronous Telehealth. “The notifications provide direct and quick access to upload their images and view new comments. It really facilitates better communication between Veterans and their providers.”
