During a recent COVID-19 Military Support Initiative (CMSI) online town hall entitled, "The Evolution of Healthcare for Veterans During the Pandemic," Dr. Leonie Heyworth, Connected Care Director of Synchronous Telehealth, explained the many Connected Care technologies and programs that are available to Veterans and how these technologies have aided VA's response to the pandemic.
Dr. Heyworth discussed VA Video Connect and its ability to connect to Bluetooth peripheral health monitoring devices like digital thermometers and blood pressure cuffs. She also shared information about Home Telehealth, My HealtheVet, Rx Refill, Annie COVID-19 text messages and VA's loaned tablet program.
"We want to make sure here at VA Connected Care that we have our finger on the pulse of the latest and the newest technology to make sure we are providing the most comprehensive care to our Veterans."
