Meredith Josephs, MD, MPH, leads efforts to provide Veterans with exceptional, coordinated, and connected care, anytime and anywhere. She oversees the development and implementation of the Office of Connected Care’s digital engagement products. These include My HealtheVet, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ online patient portal; VA Mobile apps; and a range of remote patient monitoring services designed to support Veterans at any stage of their health journeys.

Before her current role, she served as the chief medical informatics officer of the Federal Electronic Health Record Modernization (FEHRM) program office. She provided executive oversight of all functional aspects of the implementation of a single, common federal electronic health record and joint health information exchange for the U.S. Department of Defense, VA, and the U.S. Coast Guard. Dr. Josephs received the 2021 Federal 100 Award for her work at the FEHRM.

Before joining the Veterans Health Administration, Dr. Josephs served as vice president of clinical informatics at Privia Health. She led the company’s clinical information technology strategic initiatives and served as the medical director of Privia Virtual Health, Privia’s virtual urgent care center. She collaborated with Privia Medical Group physicians and leaders to optimize Privia’s clinical technology platforms to ensure optimal delivery of health care services and success in value-based care programs.

Dr. Josephs is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Franklin Square Family Medicine Residency Program. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Informatics Association and is board-certified in family medicine and clinical informatics.
