Retired Army Major Devon Lehman served in the military for 20 years before finding a new mission at home as a TeleCritical Care (TCC) nurse educator. In this role, he teaches VA staff and Veterans about one of VA’s most innovative telehealth programs.
Across 83 VA intensive care units, the TCC team works 24/7 to monitor over 1,200 Veterans to provide proactive and reactive care — stepping in when dangerous symptoms arise.
As both a nurse and a patient, Lehman has seen firsthand how the TCC program, available in select areas, is making stays at VA medical centers shorter, safer, and more comfortable for Veterans and their caretakers and families.
