My HealtheVet Advanced Accounts to Be Discontinued

Beginning September 2021, My HealtheVet Advanced accounts will be discontinued. All Veterans and VA patients who have an Advanced account are encouraged to upgrade to a My HealtheVet Premium account as soon as possible. Premium accounts enhance Veterans’ security and better protect their personal information.

All Advanced accounts will revert to Basic accounts September 1. Those who have not upgraded will lose access to My HealtheVet’s pharmacy features, including the ability to request and track VA prescription refills. In addition to maintaining access to Advanced account features, those who upgrade to a Premium account will gain access to other My HealtheVet features, such as their VA health record, Secure Messaging, VA appointment scheduling, and more. 

VA patients can upgrade to My HealtheVet Premium accounts in person, online, or via video appointment. Upgrade information is available on the My HealtheVet website, in this Premium Upgrade video, or by contacting their VA facility’s My HealtheVet Coordinator.
